we have been driving around the twin city roads this morning. we've been streaming and thought, you know what? it is 12 degrees. we have a full foot of snow on the ground. the kids are out of school, a lot of them, why not hop out of the car and let you guys know that winter finally arrived here. you know what? this is normal kind of snowfall for december we normally see. we've not seen a snowfall like this in the twin cities or minnesota for that matter since 2011. we had under a foot of snow all of last winter. even those of us who traditionally overall are used this kind of weather this is certainly a bit of a change from the past couple of winters. schools are closed. schools are starting late. commute times here in the twin cities metro tripled or quadrupledded. there are a lot of people in the twin cities standing in line and minneapolis and st. paul where there are not a lot of garages and they are here at the impound lot getting their cars back. snow emergencies called to try to get the streets plowed curb to curb and emergency vehicles
